The Department of Design maintains the computer area as a service to the students. The Digital Media Center is the result of the financial support of the Hallmark Corporation provided in 2004 to build the technical infrastructure needed to support our educational mission. The labs are in use for classes, ranging from basic image editing to advanced 3D modeling during the semester. Chalmers 308 is open to all students in Architecture, Design, and Planning as a printing facility. There are student lab monitors scheduled to provide assistance, but it is generally a self-service facility.

If you need technical assistance you can contact the Information Specialist, Steve Fair (sfair@ku.edu).

The computer labs have the following equipment:

Laser printers for color and black/white output

17 - 42 inch Epson and HP large format color output

Flatbed and film scanners
