The Department of Design maintains the computer area as a service to the students. The Digital Media Center is the result of the financial support of the Hallmark Corporation provided in 2004 to build the technical infrastructure needed to support our educational mission. The labs are in use for classes, ranging from basic image editing to advanced 3D modeling, during the semester. Room 308 is open to all students in Art and Design as a printing facility. There are student lab monitors scheduled to provide assistance, but it is generally a self-service facility.
If you need technical assistance you can contact the Information Systems Specialist, Steve Fair (sfair@ku.edu).
The computer lab has the following equipment:
Laser printers for color and black/white output
17 in., 24 in., and 36 in. Epson and HP large format color output
Flatbed and film scanners
